Circle H2O is working with technology provider Ensaras, Inc. to deliver artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to its clients.
Ensaras, Inc. is a technology company that is developing novel artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for wastewater treatment plant operations. Ensaras, Inc. has worked on several first-of-a-kind projects demonstrating the utility of using data-driven and advanced analytics techniques to solve challenges and optimize operations at wastewater treatment facilities.
For the US Army Ensaras, Inc. developed a machine learning approach to classify treated wastewater as fit for discharge or fit for reuse using data from robust and low-cost real-time sensors. This approach to monitoring treatment systems is useful in areas where daily laboratory testing may not be readily available. Ensaras, Inc. also participated in the inaugural LIFT Intelligent Water Systems Challenge hosted by the Water Environment Federation (WEF) and the Water Research Foundation (WRF). Ensaras, Inc. co-lead the data management and analytics part of the project, working in collaboration with the University of Illinois and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRDGC). The team’s odor prediction algorithm came in second place at the final round of the competition that took place at WEFTEC 2018.
